The crate doors open by turning a round handle. The doors can be locked with a key, and two keys come with each crate. The Aluway Plus Two-Piece Car Crate can be converted to a single-piece by removing the dividing partition if needed. The crates have rounded corners and stand on round plastic feet off the floor.

The frame and door of the Aluway Plus car crates are made of strong aluminum tubing, and the wall, roof, and floor panels are 0.7 cm thick alu-plast composite. Alu-plast is a durable material that doesn't absorb moisture.
